About

This is a small project that started in early 2026 on Eric L.'s Facebook page

Initially, the goal was to provide a comprehensive list of all the songs featured in Chris Stroh's Underground Tapes bodyboarding videos. Currently, 123 of the 155 total tracks are covered.

This project has now extended to covering more vintage bodyboarding videos.

FAQs

Why did you create this website? Surely you must be looking for money or something.

Just like you, I grew up watching these videos over and over again.

The Discogs and YouTube / Bandcamp / SoundCloud links do not contain any affiliate id or anything of the sort.

This webpage looks dodgy. Why should I trust you?

By all means, you should never trust anybody on the internet.

This is why I have made the source code for this website public. You can find it directly on this GitHub repository

This must be illegal.

All that this webpage does is link to a bunch of YouTube videos. Now whether these videos are being legally hosted on YouTube or not, I cannot tell.

How can I save the YouTube or BandCamp songs as mp3 files?

Message me 🙂.

Is this all AI generated?

Absolutely not. I wrote all the code / content for this webpage myself. Actually, fuck AI.

This is one of the ugliest webpages that I have ever seen!

Thanks!

Contribute

You are more than welcome to contribute to this project! Feel free to help me:

  • Identify any missing artist / song.
  • Find errors / typos within this webpage.
  • Improve the source code for this webpage. Currently the list of soundtracks sits in a Markdown file. I wrote a very simple script in TypeScript that reads this file and turns it into an html page (aka, this very website). The overall look and feel of the webpage is handled by Simple.css, and the whole thing is hosted on a Vercel free-tier account.

Changelog & Roadmap

  • Soon (2026)   Purchase a domain.
  • Soon (2026)   Ditch TypeScript and rewrite the main script in Nim.
  • 2026-07-11   The webpage is now live on Vercel.
  • 2026-07-11   New GitHub repo for the project.
  • 2026-07-07   Code cleanup / optimisation.
  • 2026-07-06   Fixed some random typos.
  • 2026-07-04   More filtering options added.
